How to Play

Helpful tips

  • Point to each tile while counting aloud.
  • Use clues: “What comes after 5?” “What’s before 7?”
  • Model thinking: “I see 5 then 7, so 6 is missing.”
  • If stuck, start two numbers earlier and count forward.

Make it trickier

  • Try counting backward to find the missing number.
  • Peek, cover the row with your hand, then recall the missing one.
  • Say the answer without counting from 1—use “before/after.”
  • Explain your choice: “It fits because ___ comes between ___ and ___.”
