What you’re learning

  • Number names (1–10)
  • One-to-one counting (one point = one count)
  • Cardinality (the last number said is the total)
  • Matching numerals to quantities

Helpful tips

  • Count slowly and clearly together.
  • Touch each emoji as you say the number word.
  • Repeat with Play for extra practice.
  • Say the sentence at the end: “There are ___!”

Make it trickier

  • Guess the total before playing—then check.
  • Count backward from the number shown.
  • Ask: “How many more to make 10?”
  • Close your eyes and try to remember the number.
Tip for grown-ups: Each number uses the same kind of emoji (e.g., 5 bananas), which helps kids connect the numeral, the word, and the amount. On phones/tablets, tap Start first so audio plays smoothly.
